When is the best time of year for window cleaning?

Many of our clients wonder: "When is the best time of the year for window cleaning?"

In a few words, to get the best bang for your buck you should have your windows cleaned in late Spring: just after most of the pollen has passed and allergy season is dying down. This way, you'll remove all of the tree sap, pollen, dust, and dirt that comes with the season before it gets too hot out in the Summer months, and have the longest lasting benefit before your windows need to be cleaned again.

That said, we personally recommend having your windows cleaned twice per year to prevent hard water or thermal expansion damage that can be caused by dirt and pollen buildup on your exterior windows.

A professional window cleaner will have the gear to handle window cleaning any time of day, but if you're looking to clean your windows yourself, just remember that a cooler window is easier to clean. Cool windows prevent your solution from evaporating as quickly which means you'll have more time to scrub before your panes dry into a hazy mess. Because of this, we recommend that you start in the early morning or late afternoon and work on the shady side of your home to make your job as easy as possible.

If you want to clean your windows yourself and want advice from the pro's, give us a call or text at the number below! We'd love to talk with you.
